There are many temples in Yogyakarta can be visited, as follows : the Prambanan temple, Ratu Boko Palace, Temple Sambisari, Gampingan temple, etc.. Well, this time I’ll tell you about the Prambanan temple. Usually Prambanan is always visited by travelers when they visited Jogjakarta. So, besides you shop at Malioboro, you also can visit Prambanan.
Prambanan temple is located in the eastern of Yogyakarta, about 17 km. It is located right on the border of Yogyakarta and Central Java Province. If you drive your own car, just follow the road to Solo. Prambanan temple is on the left of the road. If you using public transportation from the terminal Giwangan, you can use trans jogja bus, only IDR 3000.
What make Prambanan so special?
Candi Prambanan is the prettiest in the world. Prambanan is the masterpiece of Hindu culture from the 10th century. Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple in Southeast Asia, the main building is 47m high makes incomparable beauty of its architecture.
This temple complex consists of eight main shrine or temple and more than 250 small temples. Three main temples called Trisakti and dedicated to the hyang Trimurti: Shiva Batara the Destroyer, Vishnu the Preserver and Batara Batara Brahma the Creator.
Shiva temple in the middle, containing four rooms, one room in each cardinal direction. While the first one contains a statue of Shiva Batara three meters tall, the other three statues contain a smaller size, the statue of Durga, Shiva Batara sakti or wife, Agastya, teacher, and Ganesha, his son.
