The history of the construction of the mighty Borobudur temple – UNESCO World Heritage site – called the ”Mahakarya Borobudur” will be presented in dance, light and sound on the open stage of the Borobudur temple in Magelang, Central Java. This spectacular show will take you on a sensory odyssey through a magnificent performance of light and sound featuring 250 Javanese classical dancers. The audience will be taken back in time when this ancient wonder of the world was the center of the powerful Mataram kingdom.

In the year 2010, the Borobudur Masterpiece will be performed four times, at 22 May, 26 June, 24 July & 11 September 2010. All performances held on Saturdays at 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Ticket prices are as follows:
Platinum class seating 800 000 Rupiah
Gold class seating 600 000 Rupiah
Silver class seating 400 000 Rupiah
Festival class seating 300 000 Rupiah
