As one type of performing arts, Mask Dance has been staged during many years in the history of Indonesian’s life as well as that of the world. For the first time in Indonesia the art of the Mask Dance performance is pl
anned to be presented in a national event, the INDONESIAN CULTURAL MASK FESTIVAL which will be held in Cirebon for the first time. This program will promote the art of mask physically as well as philosophically to conserve the high quality of cultural wealth of Indonesian Arts. It is also intended that it will be a media for learning and getting to know each other while appreciating peace and harmony through our National Heritage. Prima Ardian Tana supported by many elements of Cultural Arts lovers will endeavor to introduce The Arts of the Indonesian Cultural Mask as a local culture based creative industry. The Festival will also be memorized by a series of Philatelic Series of Stamps of the Republic of Indonesia and also it is planned to build a National Mask Museum as well as submitting to UNESCO to be recognized as Indonesian Cultural heritage which shall be conserved as a valuable global heritage.
