3. Grasse
Culinary and fashion. French as we know produces two products and to successfully export it to the corners of the earth. Grasse, a city located 600 kilometers southeast of Paris, is an exception. Since the 17th century, Grasse already famous as a producer of perfume. The land is overgrown with lush wide range of primary interest to perfumery materials, call it jasmine, roses, daffodils and carnations.
Grasse on the Cote d’Azur region, one of the best-selling tourist destinations in southern France. Millions of people every year menyambanginya; about two jut adiantaranya stop in Grasse. They came in droves to visit the various museums, boutiques and approximately 30 of perfume factories scattered throughout the city.
Perfume-making process carried out by families from generation to generation. Names such as Fragonard, Galimard, and Molinard not only famous in France, but also in the world. Companies that have been concocting their flower for hundreds of years is a living legend in the history of the international fragrance industry. The legend says they are also supplying to upscale perfume brand, Elizabeth Arden is one of them.
4. Vilnius
Vilnius looks lively. Along the main street Gedimino Prospektas market there that sells meat, salted fish, handicrafts, goat cheese mixed with garlic, and clothing made from wool. End of the street, exactly in front of Vilnius Cathedral, traders busy memjajakan verbos, namely Easter ornaments made of flowers, ferns, oak and fruit trees. While in the plaza adjacent to the cathedral, a number of young people skateboarding and playing frisbee.
The atmosphere of the living, religious and relaxed yan took place on the day called Palm Sunday (Palm Sunday). Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania, one of the three Baltic countries. City center is one of the largest old town in Europe. Based on cobblestone streets lining the narrow alleys winding and forming a labyrinth.
I climbed the rocky and winding road to the top of a small hill in the middle of town. Steep surface of the iron fence in order not to handle guests from slipping. Hill can be seen from different directions of view functions like a tower. Puncaynya I witnessed a panorama of the city and beberpa church roof.
Hill in the middle of town? indeed unnatural. The story begins when Gediminas, the ruler of Lithuania in 1316-1341, fell asleep and dreamed that a wolf howling at the top of the hill. He then sought to know the meaning of the dream and get a suggestion to build a city on the hill. On the hill that was born from a whisper is now standing Gediminas’ Tower, Upper Castle, and the Lower Castle. Lithuania Flag of colorful combinations of yellow, green, and red fluttered at the top of Gediminas’ Tower.
